About
Al'ara Whitewood
Al'ara is a devoted priestess of Elune and Elun'nora. She has dedicated her life to her people and her goddess, and now The Silver Circle, as a radiant shield and a helping hand. Prior to her holy servitude, she aided her community from her father's forge crafting trinkets and armour as well as conducting the inevitable repair and upkeep of metalwork.Although her specialties lie within the realms of healing and protective magic, she is not a stranger to fortune telling. She was taught the ways of pyromancy during her training to becoming a priestess many moons ago. Currently revisiting her roots, she's ready to brush off the dust of her divination skills.Al'ara understands the unease associated with fire. She, too, was a victim of Teldrassil as evident by the burn scar running along her face. Only in recent years, she re-explored what fire meant to her and, by walking through the flames, she began to heal from her scars. She will gladly help others do the same.The finest steel has to go through the hottest of flames. Allow one of Her priestesses to illuminate your journey ahead and guide you to feel the Goddess' warm motherly embrace.
Whitewood Moonwrights
Those who lived in the Northern most parts of Ashenvale before the Third War might remember the name of this family owned business run by a blacksmith and priestess duo. Specializing on making holy trinkets and armour, they prided themselves on offering Elune worthy quality.Al'ara has recently taken up the mantle to run the family business after its sudden closure thanks to recent wars. Now, with a hammer in hand and burning passion within her, she's ready to get back in the forge and smith whatever you may need to practice your faith and protect your kin.Although she is not selling any wares for the Lunar Festival, you are welcome to commission her for custom metalwork.
Fortune Telling
Stare Into The Flames...
Everyone has their own story to tell, their own journeys to discover. Pyromancy is anchored in the present and meant to illuminate your path forward. But, on occasion, it will shine a light on your past. It is a highly spiritual practice, so be prepared for those beyond to seek you out...-Before the reading, reflect on what your character is searching for. You can discuss your wishes with the priestess to help narrow down your search. This can be anything like searching for someone or something, love prospects, career goals, etc.-After talking with the priestess, you will be offered a choice of various branches gathered from the forest floors of Azeroth. Each have their own properties and symbolism. You have the option between:

- Winterspring Pine
- Azshara Maple
- Vale Cherry Blossoms
- Hyjal Ash
- Ohn'aran Birch
- Val'sharah WillowOOC: There's a button below that will bring you to a page describing their symbolism if you wish to choose one that aligns with your character's desire.Once you are ready to receive your reading, you must carve your question into the wood and put your chosen branch into the fire.-The priestess will read the properties of the flame; its colour, movement, sounds, and smoke. She will then ask you, either out loud or through whispers, how you feel watching the flames.Finally, she will give you your reading.
Branches
Although anything could be thrown in the fire, Fortunes by Firelight specializes in botanomancy. As the flowers of the moonwells have yet to be blessed, priestess Whitewood is opting to use branches instead. These have been collected from various forests of Azeroth, mainly kaldorei territories. The following branches will be available to choose:- Feralas Ironwood -
Represents resilience, protection, and facing life head on. Known for its tough bark that rivals the hardness of iron itself, it has been used to craft armour and weapons for generations. Despite its impressive physical properties, its core is susceptible to corruptive magic.- Ashenvale Oak -
Represents strength, hospitality, and wisdom. Known for its sturdy nature, hence why it is often used to build houses and furniture, especially those with intricate detail.- Winterspring Pine -
Represents resilience, longevity, and steadfastness. Known for its needles, kaldorei harvest them for tea and medicine. It’s believed their aroma cleanses the soul and promotes a sense of peace.- Azshara Maple -
Represents abundance, prosperity, and harmonious balance. Known for its sap, seen as the life force flowing through all things and its ability to nurture the kaldorei. Often used in desserts.- Vale Cherry Blossoms -
Represents transience, beauty, and the fleeting nature of life. Known for its blossoms and the fruit they bear, these trees are reminders that life should be cherished.- Hyjal Ash -
Represents inner strength and protection. At the heart of the new age for kaldorei, it stands as a beacon of strength alongside the mighty world tree of Nordrassil. They are often associated with pillars of the community.- Ohn’aran Birch -
Represents renewal, purification, and the dawning of new beginnings. Known for its bright foliage and its bark used in certain areas for crafts and writing, this tree was once abundant across the holy sites of the empire. During Azshara’s rule, she attempted to wipe out the species. In modern times, few birch trees remain on kaldorei soil with its greatest population found in Felwood being virtually wiped out or unusable.- Val’sharah Willow -
Represents flexibility, adaptability, and emotional healing. Known for its ability to withstand storms thanks to its flexibility. It connects the rivers to the earth and sky.

Although she will not be hosting a booth for her family business this year's Lunar Festival, she will be giving some of her wares free of charge. And, for a fee, you have the option to commission her to make a small trinket with the fire from your reading! Half of all proceeds will be donated to the Sisterhood.-

About Fortune Telling
What is your experience with fortune telling?
This is my first time conducting fortune telling in any space. This is purely done in the spirit of roleplay! However, I have had in-character readings in the past from other fortune tellers so I have a vague idea of what to do.What are your inspirations for your fortune telling?
My two main influences are IRL divination practices and beliefs as well as experienced RP fortune tellers such as Mavvi Solarvale! Pyromancy as a form of fortune telling seems to be rather uncommon and doesn't seem to be as concrete as tarot. Since there is very limited information of the practice, creative liberties in readings are taken.Can I ask for readings pertaining to IRL topics?
I ask that you refrain from asking for readings about IRL topics such as medical, legal, financial, and mental health advice. I am not a professional in any of these fields. I encourage that you seek out local resources to help with these matters. Additionally, I do not want to blur the lines between IRL and RP. Roleplay vibes only!
NOTE: IC mental health is bound to be touched upon in RP. Please keep it IC in nature.
About Wares
Are commissioned pieces IRP or OOC?
At the moment, all commissioned pieces are IRP. This means that I can make TRP3 Extended items which will be given to you. If there comes a day that I feel comfortable drawing custom metalwork, then this answer will change!Do you only sell TRP3 Extended Items?
For Lunar Festival, yes! That is simply due to the nature of the holiday and her booth. I want to keep the focus on fortune telling here. However, if you catch her at any future markets, then she will also be selling IG items either as flavour or custom transmog sets curated by me!
